Clextral equips leading manufacturers and research centres with twin-screw extrusion systems to help create new products and/or de test the advantages of the twin-screw extrusion process.
In its range of extruders, Clextral has both laboratory machines (25mm screw diameter) and pilot-size machines (32 and 53 mm diameter). Some manufacturers sometimes use larger-size machines to carry out R&D campaigns.
The Clextral twin-screw extruders most often used in R&D are:
EV 25 25 mm screw diameter EV 32 32 mm screw diameter EV 53 53 mm screw diameter
Characteristics of R&D and pilot twin-screw extruders:
• Precise extrapolation • Precise temperature control in each sleeve module through a combination of heating and cooling ducts - temperature variation by zone • A wide variety of screw profiles to optimize process parameters • Compact design that takes up little floor space • Easy and quick to install: plug-and-play (EV 25 and EV 32) • Optional: fast-opening sleeve for a quick change of screw profiles, easy to clean and maintain
Optional automatic sleeve opening:
1- Automatic opening by button 2- The sleeve slides and gives rapid access to the screws
